Georgina Amy Blore
Georgina Amy Blore, nee Threadgold, who died at the age of 82 from cancer on St Valentine's Day this year, was a locally renowned artist in North London where she lived. She grew up in the Kingsbury district of London and remained close to that area all her life although she was a frequent visitor to her family in Weymouth. She was married to John Blore an electrical engineer with the Eastern Electricity Board who sadly died in 2005 causing Georgina to stop painting. Although self-taught, having first started painting when she was about thirteen, she attended night classes at the Slade during the 1970's to improve her technique.

The aim of this Exhibition and Sale of Georgina's Paintings is to support the charities movement. Her Estate have decided that 50% of the profits from the sale will go to Julia's House with the other 50% going to Hospice movement in general.

Julia's House
Julia's House is Dorset's only hospice dedicated to children with life-limiting conditions. The majority of the children we care for are unlikely to live beyond the age of 18.
The aim of Julia's House is to maximise and enrich the quality of life for Dorset children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
